Drill Night: Twin City Ambulance & Patient Movement

Tonight’s drill focused on patient movement and ambulance familiarization, in collaboration with our outstanding EMS partners at Twin City Ambulance. Paramedic Joe and EMT Patrick brought their ambulance into our truck bay, giving us an in-depth look at their equipment and demonstrating its use. They also shared valuable insights on how we can better assist during EMS calls. We had the opportunity to practice patient transfers using a stair chair and backboard. With around 80% of our calls being EMS-related, it’s essential for our team to be well-versed in Twin City Ambulance’s operations and to work seamlessly with their crew. To top off the evening, our house committee treated us to fried bologna for dinner. It was a fantastic drill with an impressive turnout of 30 members!
