This evening’s training, led by Captain Hazzan, focused on radio communication. He kicked things off with a brief but informative presentation on proper radio use and etiquette.
We then moved into a hands-on exercise. Members were divided into two teams—veterans and newer recruits. Each team received a Lego set and a pair of radios, and split into separate rooms. One team member, wearing an SCBA, was tasked with building the set, while another, with only the instructions, used the radio to guide them through the process.
The challenge highlighted just how crucial clear and precise communication is, especially under pressure. While both teams found it tough, the veteran members managed to complete their set within the time limit.
It was a fun and effective drill that reinforced a key skill. Thank you to everyone who participated!
