Structure Fire: Bogie’s Tavern

On February 8, 2025, at 11:16am – Amherst Fire Control alerted Eggertsville Hose Company for a report of structure fire at Bogies Tavern, located at 4414 Bailey Avenue. Fire was reported to be in the kitchen, in the area of the fryers. The fire caused an estimated $300,000 in total damages. The Eggertsville Hose Company responded to the scene with mutual aid from Ellicott Creek, Getzville, North Bailey and Snyder Fire Departments.
Assistant Chief Sikirica reported the building was evacuated and fire in the kitchen coming out the door. Firefighters had water on the fire within 6 minutes of the initial alarm, and 12 minutes later, the bulk of the fire was knocked down; while rooftop ventilation was underway by the Getzville Fire Department. The fire was officially called under control at 11:40, 24 minutes after the initial alarm. Eggertsville remained on scene until approximately 1:17pm.
Twin City Ambulance evaluated and treated one firefighter who was released at the scene.

Eggertsville reports there was an estimated $150,000 damage to the structure and $150,000 damage to the contents. At the scene, (2) – 1  3/4 inch hose lines, (1) – 4 inch supply line, 1 ladder truck set up and 24 feet of ground ladders were used. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
