Recruitment Process
Initial Interest: Start by completing the online recruitment interest form. After review, we’ll send you a comprehensive Fire Department application to officially begin your journey.
Application Submission: Complete the application, which includes personal information, references, and authorizations for necessary background checks as required by NYS Law.
Membership Committee Interview: Selected applicants will be invited to interview with our Membership Committee, discussing motivations, experiences, and potential contributions.
Membership Decision: Post-interview, along with reference checks and background investigations, the Committee will recommend candidates to the general membership for a vote.
Medical and Approval: Successful applicants must pass a medical examination and receive fire district approval before engaging in emergency responses.
Probationary Period: New members will enter a probationary period, learning under experienced mentors and integrating into our community-focused team.
